MINDFUL ART CLASSES AT THORNCREST CLUBHOUSE.

 

EVERY MONDAY FROM NOVEMBER, 7TH – DECEMBER 12TH, 2022

4:30PM – 6:00PM

6 weeks | $110 for members | $130 for non members

 

Drawing on mindfulness with a guided relaxation at the beginning and end of each class. Let’s go outside and be inspired by nature! Drawing upon the works of the Group of Seven as well as the natural world around them, students will sketch outside and represent it using acrylic paint.

 

They will explore the concepts of depth of field and perspective drawing and will learn how to create a landscape composed of a clear foreground, middle ground and background. Students will examine how the use of colour, contrast, positioning and variety can create emphasis and also change the mood of their landscape. Emphasis

Would the impact be different if the position of the rocky mountain changes on the page? How can I use shape and form to create a focal point? What mood do I evoke if I use dark colours versus light colours?

No art experience necessary. Just a positive attitude!

 

Youth workshop ages 9-11. Feel free to invite friends or family. All materials and supplies included.
